What is it?
Andrea Martin is a local Realtor who lives right here in North Tacoma. She also organizes the monthly Neighbor Coffee Social at The Delightful Market. This event is something new — and a little bit different.
Andrea will send each attendee the 2 homes included in that week's event. All homes are in North Tacoma — close by! We'll meet at the first home at 5:30 pm for a tour, then head to the second home around 6 pm. When we're done, we'll head to one of the bars in the Proctor District for a refreshment and chat about what we saw. Every Tuesday will have different homes to see.
Why would I want to do this?
It mixes a few great things together: spending time with your neighbors, sharing a fun activity (touring a home), seeing architecture and decorating ideas in your own neighborhood — and then socializing over a drink afterwards. For some, it's a perfect "not your average" Tuesday evening. If you like water views (sometimes!), beautiful interiors, and getting to know the people on your street, this outing is for you. Bring a friend!
Is there a cost?
Nope — it's completely free. The tours themselves cost nothing. Just pay for your own drink or food wherever we end up at the end of the evening.
Why are the owners letting us tour their house?
Because their home is on the market — and you just never know! Maybe one of the neighbors on the tour will see a home and think "this would be perfect for my friend!" So if that happens, it's a win for the owners. For the rest of us, it's just a fun Tuesday evening outing. 😊
Do I have to register?
Yes — since we're walking through people's homes, knowing who is in the group is important. Andrea will have you fill out a short form and snap a photo of your ID. She is responsible for the group, so needs to know who is who. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER!
Is it fun?
It's VERY MUCH a lot of fun! If you like touring homes, seeing architecture, decorating ideas, water views (sometimes) and seeing your neighborhood "from the inside" — then this excursion is for you. Fine to bring a friend!
Is there a limit?
Yes — the tours are capped at 10 people.
